About the Role:

The People Pod is hiring a skilled Class 2 driver to join our logistics team. As a key team member, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to designated locations using Class 2 vehicles.

Main Duties:

  • Operate Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly.
  • Load and unload goods accurately and securely, maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
  • Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and minimize travel time.
  • Maintain detailed records of deliveries, including logs, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues or delays.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 2 driving licence with CPC qualification and Digi card.
  • Previous experience as a Class 2 driver, preferably within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and route planning.

Compensation and Benefits:

A permanent contract position based out of Bolton, with overnight travel. The salary for this role is £31,416 - £32,760 per year, plus benefits and bonus. Shifts are approximately 20 hours each, with a competitive pay rate. This opportunity offers career progression, full training, and 28 days holiday per year, inclusive of Bank Holidays.
