Job Description

The Clinical Skills Training Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring nursing staff have access to clinical skills training, enabling delivery of high-quality evidence-based care across the Trust.

This post holder will develop and deliver high-quality training programs, working in partnership with the Lead for retention and practice development.

  • Develop and embed evidence-based clinical nursing practice across the trust through implementation and facilitation of clinically based education, training, and skills development.
  • Lead the clinical skills training team to ensure our nursing staff have access to clinical skills training.
  • Support other Practice Development department programs at peak times.

This post complements ward-based/specific induction and education and will support and facilitate core practice-based education to all sectors of the nursing workforce by delivering ward and clinical training and assessing clinical competency of core skills.
