Contract: Temporary, ASAP - 3 Month Contract
Possibility of Extension: Yes, based on performance
Pay Rate: 16.26 per hour (PAYE)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 17:00

Job Purpose:

As a key member of the i-Jobs team, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality tenancy management service to tenants. This will involve delivering tenancy enforcement, tenancy sustainment, and tenant participation services. The ideal candidate will ensure that all tenancy-related enquiries are appropriately investigated, considered, and resolved. They will also promote effective tenancy management, sustainment, and involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake tenancy management duties, including:
  • Creating and amending tenancies
  • Enforcing tenancy agreements
  • Sustaining tenancies through intensive housing management and support
  • Fostering tenant participation and involvement
  • Act as the primary point of contact between tenants and the Council for tenancy processes, including:
  • Sign-up, audits, enforcement, education, involvement, and sustainment
  • Ensure the effective use of community facilities in line with relevant legislation and guidance
  • Record and action service requests related to tenancy management using the Council's systems
  • Support tenant involvement in housing and community activities
  • Investigate and resolve tenancy breaches, making recommendations to the Senior Housing Officer
  • Maintain and update information systems as necessary and produce reports as requested

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a housing officer-related field is essential
  • Understanding of housing laws, regulations, and policies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Proficiency in using housing management software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications in housing or a related discipline are a plus
