Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team of professionals in Primary and Secondary schools within Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with their learning in a classroom setting, assisting the class teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment, and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with their learning in a classroom setting
  • Assist the class teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment
  • Help implement behaviour management strategies
  • Provide one-on-one support to pupils as needed
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in an education setting is desirable
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward helping students achieve their potential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff
  • A DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
