Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work one-on-one with clients, providing non-medical services such as companionship, light cooking, and bathing assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.
  • Light Cooking and Cleaning: Prepare meals and maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Bathing, Grooming, and Toileting: Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Assistance with Ambulation and Medication Reminders: Help clients with walking, transferring, and administering medication as needed.
  • Transportation for Appointments and Errands: Drive clients to appointments and errands, ensuring they receive necessary medical attention and complete daily tasks.
Qualifications
  • CNA or HHA license preferred or 6 months of full-time work or 12 months of part-time work caring for geriatric or chronically ill persons.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Proof of current TB testing.
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position.
  • Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.
  • Pass a criminal background check (national and required by the state).
