Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Lead for Cardiac Genetics to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of specialist nurses in providing expert care to patients with inherited cardiac conditions. The post holder will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, doctors, and genetic counsellors, to deliver high-quality patient care and develop new areas of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To lead a team of specialist nurses in providing expert care to patients with inherited cardiac conditions.
  2. To provide professional and managerial supervision and leadership to the nursing team.
  3. To undertake clinical responsibilities with ICC patients and their families, including assessment, treatment, and management.
  4. To act as an autonomous practitioner for complex patient management, assessment, and treatment.
  5. To develop new areas of practice with nursing and consultant staff to ensure quality standards are met.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) qualification.
  • Further relevant professional studies at MSc level.
  • Management or Leadership Qualification.
  • Current UKALS provider status.
  • Counselling Qualification.
Requirements

The successful candidate will need to have demonstrable expertise of knowledge in relation to Inherited Cardiac Conditions, experience of running own clinics, advanced patient assessment skills, and experience of working within cardiac genetics.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including a comprehensive pension scheme, generous annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
