Lead Our Team of Dedicated Practitioners

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our team at Purple Willows Day Nursery. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring the smooth running of the nursery, and maintaining high standards of health and safety, safeguarding, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements (Ofsted, EYFS).
  • Team Development: Manage and support a dedicated team of practitioners, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development.
  • Childcare Excellence: Ensure the delivery of high-quality early years education and care, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment that promotes children's development and wellbeing.
  • Parental Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring open communication and involvement in their children's learning and development journey.
  • Business Development: Manage occupancy levels and budgets, driving the nursery's success and ensuring sustainability. Contribute to the nursery's ongoing growth and marketing strategies.
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (Level 5 or higher preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a nursery setting. Solid understanding of EYFS, Ofsted regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Passion for Childcare: A deep commitment to the care, wellbeing, and development of young children.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Flexibility: A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to handle challenges and changes in a fast-paced environment.
