Job Title: Deputy Ward Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in providing senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team, supporting the Ward Manager in the day-to-day management and supervision of the ward.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing, with experience in leading and managing teams. You will be responsible for implementing best practice across the ward, supporting changes within the service, and contributing to service improvement. You will also be responsible for the clinical direction of the service, supporting the delivery of personalized care, and contributing to multidisciplinary team practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Ward Manager in providing day-to-day management and supervision of the ward
  • Implement best practice across the ward
  • Support changes within the service
  • Responsible for the clinical direction of the service
  • Support the delivery of personalized care and contribute to service improvement
  • Supporting and contributing to MDT practice
Requirements
  • Active Registration with the NMC, meeting the requirements of Revalidation
  • Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop Continued Professional Development and leadership
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability services
  • At least 3 years, or equivalent experience post-registration
