About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with our award-winning Transport team, who have won numerous awards for Operational, Business, and H&S excellence. As a Class 2 Driver, you will work Monday to Friday, with an hourly rate of £15.50 plus a quarterly bonus of up to £750. You will also receive a guaranteed minimum of 48 hours a week, resulting in an OTE of £40,440. Additionally, you will enjoy 25 days holiday a year plus bank holidays. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Home delivery of kitchens, which requires a physically demanding role
  • Working efficiently as a 2-man crew, loading and unloading the vehicle
  • Ensuring that Van Delivery Porters proactively make customer phone calls with ETA's and keep records of deliveries
  • Adhering to EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Regulations
  • Ensuring daily vehicle checks are completed and faults reported to your Transport Office team

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential skills and knowledge:

  • Hold a valid Cat C license with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Hold an up-to-date Driver CPC Qualification
  • Hold an up-to-date Digital Tachograph Card

Desirable skills and knowledge include experience in 'Home Delivery' service and good geographical knowledge. Applicants for this role will be subject to a basic criminal record check from the Disclosure & Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. However, a criminal record will not necessarily disqualify a candidate. Each case will be assessed individually, taking into account the nature of the offence and its relevance to the role applied for. As a responsible person, you must ensure that you have read, understood, and adhere to policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.
