About the Role

Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Product Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Industrial Power Systems Division, you will be responsible for leading the technical product development and validation activities for large industrial engines used in the power generation sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define structural, noise, and vibration technical objectives at a component and system level to ensure robust validation through design risk assessments and product validation planned activities in collaboration with development engineers and component owners.
  • Ownership and governance of both current product and new product issue resolution, with planned project deliverables being managed with appropriate tools and techniques to ensure successful validation.
  • Technical project management: organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Requirements
  • Degree educated in a relatable mechanical engineering discipline, with significant industrial experience in structural evaluation in mechanics of materials and dynamics, measurement, and analysis of strain and vibration.
  • Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques, and tools; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of development.
  • Use of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of engineering problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
