About the Role
As a Social Worker at Essex County Council, you will play a vital part in our preventative approach to social care. You will work closely with adults and their families to assess their needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure the best possible outcomes.

About the Job

The salary for this role is approximately £40,000 per annum, which includes an annual leave entitlement of 27 days (plus bank holidays), rising with service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who is passionate about social care and committed to making a positive impact. If you have a strong desire to work with vulnerable adults and their families, and are able to demonstrate the required skills and experience, we would like to hear from you.


Key Requirements:
  • A degree in Social Work or a related field and current registration with Social Work England.
  • At least one year's experience in social work, with evidence of continuing professional development and capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, carers, and other professionals.
