We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Education Support Professional to join our team at Cumberland. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the early development of children in our Foundation Stage, ensuring they thrive in a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Teaching and Learning: Assist the class teacher in delivering creative, hands-on lessons aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Individual and Small Group Support: Work with individual children and small groups to provide tailored support, ensuring all learners are engaged and achieving their potential.
  • Creating a Stimulating Environment: Help prepare and maintain a dynamic and engaging classroom environment, including setting up activities and managing resources.
  • Observation and Assessment: Observe children's progress, record key achievements, and contribute to assessments in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Encouraging Independence: Support children in developing key life skills such as personal hygiene, social interaction, and early problem-solving.
  • Promoting Inclusion and Wellbeing: Build positive relationships with children, foster an inclusive ethos, and ensure every child feels valued and supported.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or equivalent (essential).
  • A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and how to support children's development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, children, and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The estimated salary for this position is £18,933 - £22,014 per annum, depending on experience.
