Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias to join our client's manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending breakdowns and repairs, ordering spares and repairs, and maintaining a high level of preventative maintenance on production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend breakdowns and repairs in a timely and controlled manner
  • Order spares and repairs, ensuring maintenance budget is kept within limits
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on production machinery, including conveyors, packaging machinery, and ancillary test equipment
  • Repair and install electrical apparatus, ensuring compliance with health and safety and food safety legislation
Requirements:
  • Must hold electrical engineering qualifications
  • Extensive fault finding and diagnostic experience
  • Electrically competent with strong mechanical awareness, including hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding
  • Experience working with control panels, contactors, motors, starters, inverters, and PLC systems
  • Ability to analyze control panels, wiring diagrams, and carry out fault finding
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary of £44,977, with the opportunity to earn up to £46,400 basic salary
  • Rotating shifts, including 6-2, 2-10, and 10-6, with weekend overtime available at 1.5 times the Saturday rate and 2 times the Sunday rate
  • Temporary to permanent position
  • Company pension
