Job Title: Junior Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Genesis Technical Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize workflow, equipment placement, and space utilization to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Analyze production data and provide reports to assist management in decision-making.
  • Maintain and improve the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure seamless production processes.
  • Evaluate quality control processes and recommend improvements to ensure high-quality products.
  • Ensure compliance with company requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate and manage manufacturing line updates to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Explore and implement new ways to automate existing production lines to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct research, development, and deployment of manufacturing automation technology into global manufacturing facilities.
  • Support digital manufacturing initiatives by leading proof of concept (POC) studies and scaling them to production levels.
  • Support the development, implementation, and operation of Industry 4.0 and IIoT initiatives to drive innovation and growth.
  • Collaborate with other manufacturing departments to provide innovative solutions and improve overall manufacturing performance.
  • Apply project management skills to execute projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience in industrial automation, controls, manufacturing engineering, or a related role.
  • Some experience in a design/DFM role.
  • Lean Practitioner and/or 6 Sigma Black Belt certification.
