Audit and Risk Recruitment is delighted to be working with a FTSE 100 business in the commodities trading and mining industry. Their Audit and Assurance function prides itself on its ability to safeguard the company's value through innovative and positive change. The successful applicant for this role will be a pivotal member of this highly regarded team.
The primary responsibility of the job will be to provide risk and assurance expertise on matters related to Market Conduct Risk within Commodities Trading. You will lead on audit strategy for marketing compliance areas such as market conduct, counterparty onboarding, trade surveillance and trading patterns. You'll work with audit colleagues to remediate, test and continuously improve the internal controls framework. As the SME in this space, you will perform continuous risk monitoring and stay abreast of all emerging risks in the field, being able to provide technical insights to the business when needed. This is a business-facing role, and you will develop strong relationships with stakeholders with a view to understanding the risk profile of the group to as great an extent as possible.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Audit or Controls professional with expertise in Market Conduct Risk within Commodities Trading. You will need to have worked within mining, oil & gas or another commodities sector. Our client is hoping to find someone with at least several years' experience in this discipline.
