The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Treasury department, you will be responsible for managing the firm's funding requirements and optimizing our Treasury portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash and Liquidity Management: Oversee daily cash management to facilitate margin/settlements and optimize cash returns.
  • Daily Bank Account Reconciliation: Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • OTC Settlements: Manage daily OTC settlements, ensuring seamless execution and minimizing risk.
  • Cash Controls: Implement and maintain robust cash controls to safeguard the firm's assets.
  • Treasury Reporting: Produce regular treasury reports to provide insights into cash and liquidity management.
  • Trade Ticket Drafting: Draft trade tickets for the Treasury Portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Treasury P&L and Costs: Collaborate with the Treasury team to oversee Treasury P&L and costs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Repo Transactions: Execute Repo transactions, ensuring optimal returns and minimizing risk.
  • FX Exposures and Duration: Manage FX exposures and duration on the Treasury Portfolio, ensuring alignment with the firm's investment strategy.
  • FX Residual Balance Repatriation: Oversee FX residual balance repatriation at FXPBs, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Margin Management: Collaborate with the Treasury team to oversee margin management processes, ensuring optimal returns and minimizing risk.
  • Subscriptions/Redemptions: Work closely with Business Development/Investor Relations and Fund Accounting to manage subscriptions/redemptions processes.
  • Post-Execution Management: Manage post-execution tasks, ensuring seamless execution and minimizing risk.
  • Documentation and Portals: Update key documentation and portals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Banking/PB/Fund Admin User Access: Manage user access and permissions for banking, PB, and fund admin systems.
  • Information and Support: Provide information and support to other departments, including Investor Relations, Fund Accounting, Operations, and Product Control.
Requirements
  • Relevant Financial Services Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a related role, preferably in banking or asset management.
  • Experience in Treasury, Cash Management, or Middle Office: Proven experience working within a Hedge Fund Treasury, Cash Management, or Middle Office function.
  • Cash and Margin Management: Experience of cash and margin management, preferably in a Hedge Fund or asset management environment.
  • Financial Markets and Assets: Familiarity with financial markets and assets, including Bonds, FX, IRS, Derivatives, and Repos.
  • Education and Skills: Bachelor's degree, as a minimum, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • SQL, Tableau, and Orchestrade: Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and Orchestrade, preferably in a financial services environment.
  • Finance/Treasury System Projects: Experience in delivering Finance/Treasury system projects, preferably in a Hedge Fund or asset management environment.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build internal and external relationships.
  • Attention to Detail and Time Management: Ability to work to deadlines, with a high level of attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ethics and Integrity: Demonstrates and operates at the highest degree of ethics and integrity.
