Financial Support Specialist

We are looking for a highly organised and skilled Finance and Admin Assistant to join our team at a leading engineering business. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.
The successful candidate will have experience working with financial software, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently. They will also possess solid numerical and accounting knowledge, as well as effective communication skills.
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations
- Process accounts payable, receivable, and Bacs payments, and manage payroll processing
- Prepare monthly financial reports, assist with budget preparation, and support audits
- Handle phone reception, email communications, and manage stationery/postage
- Prepare quotes, letters, and health & safety documentation
- Experience in QuickBooks and accounts payable processes
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage tasks independently
- Solid numerical and accounting knowledge
- Effective communication skills, with bookkeeping experience preferred
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £27,000 per annum, depending on experience.
