Financial Control Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Financial Control Specialist to join our team at NatWest Group. As a Trading Product Control Expert, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and ensuring the integrity of our ledger.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking reconciliations, accounting, and control activities to support the ledger close
- Preparing month-end accounting, including journals preparation, reviews, and account reconciliation
- Investigating process or system issues and supporting systems testing
You will work closely with our trading desks to ensure effective management of our trading position and demonstrate strong daily controls.
To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in core financial control delivery and reporting outputs, including ledger close, balance sheet substantiation, statutory and management reporting.
We are looking for someone with knowledge of international accounting standards and experience of delivering change in a financial services environment.
You will also need to have the ability to identify, build, and enhance key relationships at a senior level and experience of investigating and probing issues with cross-business impact.
Additionally, you will need to have an understanding of intercompany and contra account usage requirements and intercompany reconciliations and substantiation.
