Social Value Advisor Role Summary
We are looking for a Social Value Advisor to join our Environment team at a European supplier for railway electrification. As a Social Value Advisor, you will be responsible for developing, managing, implementing, and coordinating social economic benefits to local communities. You will work closely with the project community liaison team to manage stakeholder communications and community investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Leading Network Rail Community Relations Events
You will lead community relations events and liaise with the project community liaison team to manage stakeholder communications and community investment opportunities. This includes planning and executing events, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring effective communication with local communities.
Community Engagement and Social Value
You will be responsible for promoting social value and ensuring all regionally based staff understand the social value policy and strategy. This includes developing and implementing community engagement plans, working with local stakeholders, and measuring the impact of social value initiatives.
Assisting HR with Employment and Skills Delivery
You will assist HR with employment and skills delivery, focusing on employment, education, communities, and communication. This includes working with HR to develop and implement employment and skills initiatives, providing support to site teams, and ensuring effective communication with local stakeholders.
Providing Support to Site Teams
You will provide adequate and relevant support to site teams to deliver contractual commitments and added social value. This includes engaging with the local voluntary sector, charity organizations, and EBPs, and ensuring effective communication with site teams and local stakeholders.
Complying with Company Policy and Procedure
You will comply with company policy and procedure, following the company's equalities policies in relation to other staff, customers, and members of the group. This includes ensuring effective communication with local stakeholders, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 Years' Experience
You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience delivering social value elements within rail, construction, civil engineering, or training/skills background. This includes experience in community engagement, social value implementation, and employment and skills delivery.
Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office
You will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This includes experience in creating reports, presentations, and documents, and ensuring effective communication with local stakeholders.
Networking and Communication Skills
You will have the ability to network and communicate in a friendly and effective manner with internal and external stakeholders. This includes experience in building relationships, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring effective communication with local communities.
Excellent Spoken and Written English
You will have excellent spoken and written English, including experience in creating reports, presentations, and documents, and ensuring effective communication with local stakeholders.
Ability to Drive and Travel
You will have the ability to drive and travel as required for the role, including experience in managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication with local stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
