We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in the East London borough of Barking and Dagenham. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year's experience working in a similar role and will be able to provide tailored support to students on a 1:1 basis.

The school is a 5-form entry, with a newly refurbished site and a supportive Senior Leadership team. The successful candidate will be required to effectively support students in the year 2 classroom, with aspects of general support and the opportunity to work with students who require SEN support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students in the year 2 classroom
  • Assist with general classroom tasks and activities
  • Support students with SEN needs
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience working in a similar role
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service
  • Ability to work effectively with students of all abilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
