English Teacher for Vulnerable Youth

Overview:

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced English teacher to work with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) in an educational setting.

Job Description:

In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the needs of UASC students. You will assess and monitor student progress, provide feedback, and support as needed to ensure their academic and personal development.

You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the holistic growth of UASC students. Collaboration with other educators and professionals is essential to achieve this goal.

Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and concerns is also a critical aspect of this position.

Requirements:
  • Recognized qualification in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching ESOL to diverse learner groups.
  • Experience working with UASC or vulnerable young people.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practices in supporting UASC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
Salary:

We offer a competitive salary range of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
