We are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEND School in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide student support across all areas of the school, demonstrating a positive and aspirational attitude towards their development.
  • Undertake necessary training to acquire skills required to work effectively in a specialist setting.
  • Collaborate with the staff team to ensure the needs of pupils are prioritized and met effectively.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school community by embracing opportunities and challenges presented within the role.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with Learning Difficulties within an educational setting or transferable sectors such as care & support work.
  • NVQ Level 2 or above, CACHE Level 2 or above (desirable).
  • Willingness to undertake relevant online CPD courses/training prior to starting the role.
  • Prioritize the needs of pupils and demonstrate a willingness to learn new roles.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Adaptable approach to working with pupils, meeting their diverse needs.
