Join the Transformation Unit as a Senior Data Analyst and contribute to the delivery of high-quality analytical reports from the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will work closely with clinical teams and the Business Intelligence Team to scope, plan, and deliver solutions that fulfill the Trust's clinical information reporting needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, preparing, and maintaining high-quality analytical reports from the EPR system to support performance management, clinical, and operational processes.
- Attending and participating in meetings as part of relevant EPR implementation project workstreams.
- Understanding and interpreting complex ad hoc information requests and responding appropriately to short deadlines.
- Ensuring procedures are in place for the efficient and effective provision of information on Statutory Returns for performance and operational management purposes.
- Providing information and data from Trust systems to support Payment by Results reporting.
- Identifying and highlighting any areas of risk regarding data quality and accuracy and undertaking mitigations as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent educational level.
- Ability and experience to present information with a high level of accuracy to a wide range of audiences both verbally and electronically.
- An analytical mindset and ability to explain trends and themes in data.
- Good understanding of the importance of data quality.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Intermediate knowledge and highly skilled in the use of MS Excel.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of NHS Data Dictionary including datasets, data standards, and data modelling concepts.
- Intermediate SQL, Analytics, and IT skills.
