Patient Advisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Advisor to join our team at Central Surgery. As a key member of our reception/admin team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and welcome them into the surgery
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient queries, managing appointments and bookings
  • Liaise with hospitals and consultants to arrange patient appointments and chase results
  • Handle incoming patient emails and ensure accurate scanning and saving of correspondence into patient files
  • Assist in data collection for practice performance indicators
  • Open and sort daily post, scanning and indexing documents into our clinical system

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working within a GP practice
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Caring and empathetic nature, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to work within a team and contribute to a positive and supportive environment

Central Surgery is a well-established and respected practice, committed to providing high-quality care to our patients. We are part of the Kingston GP Chambers, a federation of NHS General Practices in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

We offer a comprehensive extended hours service, providing GP appointments across three hubs in the evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays. Our team is dedicated to improving patient access to primary care and delivering innovative solutions to enhance patient care and experience.
