About the Role: Aspire People is seeking experienced SEMH Specialists to provide targeted support to students with emotional, social, and mental health needs in schools across Kings Heath, Selly Oak, Acocks Green, and Solihull. As an SEMH Specialist, you will work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to create personalised strategies and interventions. Your goal is to ensure students can fully engage in learning and school life.



Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver individual and small group sessions to support emotional regulation, social skills, and behaviour management.
* Collaborate with teachers to create behaviour management plans and interventions tailored to individual students.
* Foster a positive environment, helping students build self-esteem, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback.
* Promote inclusion and ensure students with SEMH needs are integrated into class activities.
* Act as a role model, demonstrating positive behaviours and strategies for managing emotions.

Requirements:

* Proven experience working with SEMH students in a school or educational setting.
* A calm and patient approach, with the ability to work effectively with students who may display challenging behaviour.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and how to support emotional and social development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
