About the Role:

As an Education Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of education for our students when teachers are absent. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Classroom Management: Effectively manage classrooms and ensure a positive and productive learning environment for students.
  • Lesson Delivery: Facilitate pre-prepared lessons, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.
  • Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students, answering questions and addressing concerns during teacher absences.
  • Behavior Management: Implement the school's behavior policy and manage student behavior to create a respectful and orderly classroom atmosphere.

**Requirements:**

To excel as an Education Support Specialist, you should have:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
  • Confident to take classes
  • A calm and patient demeanor, especially in managing classroom behavior.
  • A commitment to the educational development of students.
  • Flexibility and reliability to meet the needs of the school.
  • Hold a degree at 2:2 or higher or above is preferable

In order to work in the school, we will need you to be fully compliant. This includes:

  • DBS on Update Service is a must/Apply through GSL Education
  • References to cover past 2 years
  • Proof of right to work
  • Proof of national insurance
  • Proof of address (dated within the last three months)
