Materials Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Planner to join our team at Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing in Lincoln.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all materials arrive to site on time, in full, and will work closely with the procurement team to mitigate supply chain risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee raw material planning for production requirements, ensuring alignment with production schedules.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics for timely delivery of materials, minimizing delays and costs.
- Monitor inventory levels, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize stock levels.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on material usage, procurement, and inventory, providing insights for informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations, maintaining a high level of quality and integrity.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar planning position within manufacturing, with a strong understanding of supply chain management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
