About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and inspirational nurse to join our team as Deputy Associate Director of Nursing and AHP's. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage clinical services across acute and community sites, ensuring the highest standard of care to every child and family, every time.

Main Duties
  • Develop and implement clinical pathways across the ICSU, ensuring practice is evidence-based and clinical guidelines are developed and implemented.
  • Monitor clinical standards, evaluate patient care, and identify and deal effectively with poor practice or declining standards of care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement projects, and develop and use a Risk Strategy.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses, fostering good working relationships and being intellectually flexible to look beyond existing structures, ways of working, boundaries, and organisations.
  • Act as an advocate for CYP services, engaging and fostering professional relationships with stakeholders, promoting integration of services within the wider healthcare system.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Registered Nurse Child
    • Master's degree or working towards
    • Evidence of continued professional development
    • Management qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Desirable:
    • Leadership/management qualification
Skills and Abilities
  • Essential:
    • Experience working at band 8a level or above with substantial post-qualification experience as Matron/Unit Manager or equivalent, managing nursing teams.
    • Able to influence and work with local partners internally and externally to help develop services.
    • Proven ability in carrying out clinical audits and quality improvement projects, and ability to develop and use a Risk Strategy.
  • Desirable:
    • Able to influence and work with local partners internally and externally to help develop services.
    • In-depth experience of developing and implementing service policies and procedures.
