Job Title: Part-Time Social Care Specialist

About the Role:

Essex County Council is seeking a skilled Part-Time Social Care Specialist to join our Adult Social Care team. As a qualified social worker, you will be responsible for conducting care act assessments, reviews, and safeguarding adults aged 18 and above across all specialisms.

With experience of chairing meetings involving clients, family members, carers, and other multi-agency professionals, we're looking for your ability to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable adults.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Care Act with established experience in Adult Social Care. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct care act assessments, reviews, and safeguarding adults aged 18 and above across all specialisms.
* Develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable adults.
* Chair meetings involving clients, family members, carers, and other multi-agency professionals.
* Provide advice and guidance in complex situations.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including flexible working options, employee wellbeing and counselling, lease car scheme, and up to £8000 relocation package.
