This role is an exciting opportunity to join our Finance Centre of Excellence in the UK, where you will play a key part in collecting monies due to Atkins from our clients in a timely manner.

You will be responsible for collecting external customer debt, resolving any issues or disputes that may prevent payment, and building strong relationships with internal and external customers to facilitate cash collections.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong track record of working in a Collections/Credit Control environment, with experience in resolving disputes and working with purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect external customer debt and resolve any issues or disputes that may prevent payment.
  • Build internal and external customer relationships to facilitate cash collections.
  • Maintain customer account records to communicate previous actions taken.
  • Ensure that appropriate action is taken against accounts that are in default, in line with the Cash Collections procedure.
  • Meet the monthly cash target both individually and as a team.
  • Advise Atkins Business Units of any potential issues or problems that may arise on external customer accounts.

This role may require security clearance, and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.

Requirements
  • ICM or equivalent qualification would be desirable.
  • Strong track record of working in a Collections/Credit Control environment.
  • Experience working with purchase orders and resolving disputes.
  • Intermediate level Excel skills to create spreadsheets and maintain databases.
  • Basic level Word skills to create written communication and reports.
  • Intermediate level Outlook skills to communicate with customers via email.
  • Telephone skills to handle all types of calls in a polite, helpful, and informative manner.
  • Able to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with project managers and finance colleagues.
  • Skilled at prioritizing workload to ensure key deadlines are met.
  • Organized and flexible.
  • Effective communicator.
