We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate pastoral priest to serve our two welcoming parishes in rural East Sussex. As an Incumbent, you will be responsible for providing spiritual guidance and support to our congregations, while also being an active member of our community.
Our Parishes
We have three churches: St James the Great, Ewhurst Green, St Giles, Bodiam, and the mission church of St Mark, Staplecross. Our parishes are known for their strong lay support and community spirit, with a range of activities and events throughout the year.
Your Role
As our new Incumbent, you will be responsible for leading worship, providing pastoral care, and engaging with our community. You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement new initiatives to grow and regenerate our parishes.
Requirements
We are looking for a priest who is passionate about community life, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work collaboratively with our churchwardens, PCC, and congregations. You will be expected to be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
