Caregiver for Vulnerable Youth

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Children's Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality support to vulnerable children and young people.
Salary: £15 - £16/hour (rate may vary based on experience)
Job Type: Permanent position with regular working hours and nights shifts as required.
Working Hours: Flexible day and night shifts available, including evenings and weekends
About the Job:
- Care Planning: Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized care plans tailored to each child's unique needs and goals.
- Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to children and young people, helping them navigate challenges and build resilience.
- Meeting Needs: Ensure that each child's physical, emotional, and educational needs are recognized and met in a timely and effective manner.
- Education Support: Promote and support education by maintaining attendance records, engaging with schools, and encouraging a love of learning.
- Positive Behaviour: Foster positive behavior and manage difficult situations through proactive strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Social Skills: Support the development of social skills in young people, helping them build strong relationships and become confident individuals.
- Leisure Activities: Organize and supervise leisure activities, such as holidays and camps, to provide opportunities for fun, relaxation, and personal growth.
- Safety and Protection: Protect children from harm within and outside the home, promoting a safe and secure environment.
- Raising Concerns: Raise any serious issues or concerns directly with the Manager, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
- Household Duties: Contribute to household duties, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space.
- Professional Relationships: Develop and maintain good working relationships with parents, social workers, schools, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
- Compliance: Assist management in maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards.
- Training and Meetings: Attend meetings and training sessions as required, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Relevant qualification in a field related to childcare or youth work.
- Experience: Extensive experience working directly with children, preferably in a similar setting.
- Engagement Skills: Ability to engage with children and young people who may have emotional and behavioral difficulties.
- Care Planning: Capability to develop and maintain individualized care plans for children.
