Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain accurate health and safety records, including risk assessments, audits, accident reports, and employee training logs.
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure that safety is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Develop and deliver training programs to employees on health and safety procedures, equipment use, and emergency procedures.
- Investigate accidents and near-misses, and implement preventive measures to minimize the risk of future incidents.
- Manage facilities maintenance, upgrades, security, and fire systems to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
