Job Title: Production Manager Composites

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team at The Logistics Partnership LLP. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for managing the production process, ensuring efficient operations, and exceeding customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of production staff, ensuring they remain fully productive throughout the day.
  • Recognize and balance the team's skills to optimize performance.
  • Assess the team's overall capacity to complete assigned tasks on time, adjusting resource requirements as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Develop team members to enhance their skill set further.
  • Identify and rectify any shortfalls in production requirements.
  • Ensure regular planning and reporting for the pre-production area, with clear schedules in place to meet demands.
  • Adhere to tracking hours, schedule milestones, and financial budgets, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently.
  • Ensure the M1 system accurately reflects team performance against budget and is properly maintained.
  • Ensure the team is well-resourced and that recruitment activities are prioritized to meet production schedules.
  • Ensure the facility is regularly maintained and that machinery is serviced to achieve production objectives.
  • Adhere to company processes and policies, and ensure the team does the same.
  • Work in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and follow all company procedures and guidelines to ensure site safety at all times.
Requirements:
  • Proven managerial experience, including strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, and manage day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
  • Responsible for production output, product quality (RFT), and delivering products on time.
  • Ability to identify KPIs.
  • Responsible for running and overseeing the site (currently Ponsharden).
  • Report to the Production Director regarding pre-production assembly parts schedule, budgets, and quality.
  • Effectively allocate resources and fully utilize assets to achieve optimal results, driving productivity without compromising quality.
  • Maintain and improve quality standards.
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of employees under your control, maintaining a clean, tidy, and hazard-free site.
  • Serve as the Line Manager through whom all HR issues within the team are addressed.
  • Highlight resource requirements to the Production Director and assist with recruitment.
  • Maintain a presence on the shop floor to monitor shift activity and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Line Manager to Team Leaders and workshop employees.
  • Responsible for adhering to manufacturing and facility budgets and targets.
Benefits:
  • 4-day working week (Mon-Thurs 7-5.30pm).
  • 5.6 weeks holiday (including bank holidays) which rises after 3, 5, and 10 years service (up to a maximum of 1 extra week after 10 years service).

  • Pension is 5% employee and 3% employer contribution.
  • Company events twice a year.
