This role has been designed as a hybrid position, with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

The Ethics & Compliance Office, within the Office of Legal and Administrative Affairs, develops and implements HPE's industry-leading ethics and compliance practices that uphold our values of trust, integrity, and respect.
Key Responsibilities:- Support business units on data protection matters.
- Ensure the management in your stakeholder lines of business are aware of and can take risk-based commercial decisions on how to meet their compliance obligations under privacy & data-related laws, and other privacy and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with teams on cybersecurity, IT, and emerging technologies, such as biometrics, artificial intelligence, and identification technologies, on all privacy matters.
- Provide timely, accurate, quality global privacy legal advice on all aspects of data protection to various business units.
- Work on Privacy terms, data sharing agreements, and data processing agreements, including cross-border data transfer provisions, data localization requirements, profiling, and consent.
- Advise commercial teams and business partners on data protection-related provisions in contracts, taking account of privacy accountability requirements.
- Support stakeholders to navigate compliant use of personal data for new/existing products, services, and changes to business processes.
- Review and conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and other privacy risk assessments for projects.
- Monitor and respond to developments in data protection and relevant consumer laws.
- Assess and advise on compliance gaps, potential incidents, data subject access requests, and data retention.
- Develop and provide impactful training for employees.
- Facilitate communications between local teams and functional experts and the central Privacy Office.
- Significant experience drafting contracts and negotiating with respect to international data transfers.
- Digitally adept and able to manage privacy-related issues on a range of commercial activities, creating actionable toolkits for others.
- Excellent written and verbal command of English.
- Accredited Data Privacy Professional (highly desirable).
