Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Payable Manager to join their team on a 6-month contract. The role has the potential to be extended longer term.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounts Payable and will be responsible for overseeing a team of 2 assistants to ensure the smooth delivery of the Accounts Payable function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the purchase order workflow and ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Oversee the on-boarding of new suppliers and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Resolve issues identified during purchase order to invoice matching controls.
  • Manage invoice coding and data integrity activities.
  • Review and approve employee expenses.

Financial Reporting:

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for the month-end close process.
  • Support the wider finance operations team with AP-related activities during the month-end close process.

Audit Support:

  • Liaise with the Group auditors to provide timely and accurate information as requested.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable and month-end close activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage workload with minimal direction.
