Your Key Responsibilities- Develop and update our Technical Operational Procedures to ensure they're clear, concise, and comply with industry standards.
- Provide technical safety standards support and advice to the business and key stakeholders.
- Lead by example in the business and industry, promoting Centrica's net zero objectives.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for regulatory bodies, protecting our brand reputation.
- Deliver technical updates and communications to relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee project delivery against plans, ensuring timely completion and staying within budget.
- Contribute to the development of Technical Safety Assurance and corrective action processes and procedures.
- Hold an in-depth understanding of mechanical design, installation, and maintenance practices across domestic applications.
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of the Gas Safety Management Regulations, Gas Safety Installation and use Regulations, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Be familiar with Building Regulations for England, Wales, and Scotland.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, producing high-quality technical reports for internal and external audiences.
- Show the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, meeting tight deadlines.
- Hold (as a minimum) an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in gas/mechanical installation and maintenance, along with a full driving license.
- Possess professional registration with IGEM at EngTech level or higher.
- Bring extensive practical experience in the energy industry's mechanical engineering sector.
- Hold expert knowledge of industry practices, implementation, and competence management.
- Investigate significant incidents and identify root causes.
- Display a track record of delivering continuous improvements in technical safety culture and HSE performance.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship management skills.
