Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary/secondary SEN school in the Horsham area.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support teachers and work alongside other support staff and therapists to deliver a tailored curriculum.
  • Help prepare learning materials and facilitate classroom activities.
  • Address the emotional and physical needs of pupils, aiding their development and engagement.
  • Provide hands-on support and supervision, both indoors and outdoors, to pupils with complex SEMH needs.
  • Contribute to the pupils' learning journeys, guiding them to exceed their potential.
Requirements:
  • GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Experience with SEN and working within a school environment.
  • Adaptability to work in various classroom roles and settings.
  • A caring and responsive approach to supporting pupils with complex needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, sharing knowledge and learning.
