About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school providing day support for young people with SEN and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students during class, ensuring they stay on track and meet their learning goals.
  • Liaise with the class teacher to maintain a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Enable learners to access the curriculum and support their pastoral needs.
  • Contribute to setting the learning environment and supporting learners on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Engage learners in learning activities using your interests and expertise.
Requirements
  • Ability to work with learners who have various learning difficulties.
  • Confidence to support the lead in groups and different educational subjects.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • NVQ level 2 in Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential).
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
