Job Introduction

DAC Beachcroft is seeking a Paralegal to join our Commercial Litigation team in Glasgow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking a varied caseload of both Pursuer and Defender work in the Sheriff Court. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake general recoveries and task-based work on simple procedure and ordinary cause claims.
  • Carry out preliminary investigations and evidence gathering, drafting letters and reports to clients.
  • Negotiate damages and legal expenses with third-party loss adjusters, insurers, and solicitors.
  • Research tasks and analysis of documents to provide advice to team members or direct to clients.
  • Enforce judgments against third parties.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) or Paralegal qualification.
  • Highly organized and a confident communicator with an outstanding eye for detail.
  • Basic understanding of general contract and delict.
  • IT literate, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and previous knowledge or experience of a case management system would be an advantage.
  • Team-oriented, with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team.
