About the Role

We are partnering with a leading client to recruit a Health and Safety Manager to join their site delivery construction teams. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing effective guidance and support to ensure a safe working environment without risk to health, safety, or harm to the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide health, safety, and environmental support and guidance to the site team to ensure a safe working environment.
  2. Conduct regular HSE site tours and inspections to ensure personnel are working in accordance with the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan and Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  3. Investigate incidents and associated reports, working closely with the client's SHE team to ensure set HSE standards and goals are met.
  4. Conduct Site Inductions, maintain the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan, and support the HSE Administrator in reviewing and maintaining general project HSE documentation.
  5. Compile and circulate topical toolbox talks and health, safety, and environmental alerts, and produce monthly HSE reports for the Company Health & Safety Manager.
  6. Establish and maintain a team programme of documented health & safety inspections and site tours, ensuring engagement at all levels.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in delivering Health & Safety services and a background in the construction/building industry, with experience on bulk earthworks being desirable.
  • A NEBOSH General, Construction Certificate or above qualification, and a strong understanding of the CDM regulations.
  • Experience reviewing site health, safety, and environmental documentation, alongside excellent working knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Auditing & Inspection skills.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing health, safety, and environmental procedures, with sound knowledge of current HSE Legislation.
Qualifications and Accreditations
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
  • IEMA or NEBOSH environmental.
  • Valid CSCS card holder.
  • Full UK driving licence.
