Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Autism and Trauma Specialist
About the Role:
Academics is seeking a highly skilled Learning Support Assistant to join our team at our Guildford based secondary/post 16 learning centre. The successful candidate will have experience working with students with Autism and associated communication and trauma needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embed the Gatsby Good Careers Benchmarks into the school, ensuring all students are prepared for the next stage in their education, employment or training.
- Work with The Careers and Enterprise Company to track and review the school's progress towards the Gatsby Benchmarks.
- Lead the school's careers programme, reporting termly and annually to Governors on the school's progress.
- Ensure student encounters with a broad range of local employers and employees, locally and nationally.
- Lead additional programmes to support students in applying and interviewing for their first role.
Requirements:
- The Higher Level Teaching Assistant Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
- GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
- Career guidance Qualification recognised, with CDI desirable but not essential.
- Team TEACH Training desirable.
