Job Overview

At Arm, we are building new software teams to take our technology to the next level. Our software solutions interface higher-level software stacks with the hardware itself as efficiently as possible, enabling Arm to support the very latest architectural features.

Responsibilities

We are looking for Senior Software Performance Engineers to work on a variety of projects, with experience writing C, C++, and carrying out software performance analysis and optimization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Writing patches to implement new functionality, improve performance, and enable new Arm architecture
  • Collaborating with the wider open source community
  • Leading the technical work of others, owning the delivery of sophisticated technical work involving multiple contributors
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficient C or C++ programming skills
  • Desire and ability to work as part of a team
  • Passion for software performance
  • Proven experience in system-wide or localized performance analysis
Nice to Have

The following skills and experience would be beneficial:

  • Armv8-A and Arm v9-A Architecture
  • Arm64 assembly language
  • Arm NEON or similar SIMD technologies
  • Experience of open source working practices
  • Android
  • Linux kernel and driver development
