Housekeeper Role at Humber Court Retirement Scheme

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Housekeeper to join our team at Humber Court Retirement Scheme, part of The ExtraCare Charitable Trust. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of resident apartments, communal areas, and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spring (sparkle) cleaning of resident apartments
  • Policies and Health & Safety procedures are followed.
  • Using cleaning machinery (e.g., industrial vacuum cleaners and floor cleaning equipment)
  • Flexible, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
  • Being on your feet for long periods of time
  • At times lifting loads of up to 25 pounds
  • You will also be required to undertake control of the stock of cleaning materials and ensure they are kept in locked cupboards, ordering of supplies and maintaining stock levels will also be required.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office would prove advantageous

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
