About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in our care homes.

Your primary focus will be to work collaboratively with our team to maintain a clean and safe environment for our residents. This will involve operating according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are consistently met.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect, and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
  • Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, and the properties of cleaning materials, to ensure that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry services to our residents. If you have a strong commitment to customer care and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
  • Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
  • Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry services to residents.
  • The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Please note that this role will require a DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare. You will also be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
