About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Art Producer to join our Creative Collaboration team. As an Art Producer, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering arts programmes that showcase the best of contemporary music and public programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver arts programmes that engage with younger and new audiences for the Barbican.
  • Collaborate with artform departments within the Barbican to deliver innovative and exciting programmes.
  • Have an excellent knowledge and experience of the contemporary music scene and emerging talent.
  • Have a passion for all arts and experience of delivering public events at a range of scales.
  • Be a generous collaborator with a great eye for talent, an awareness of the barriers to engaging with culture, and the drive and determination to make space for underserved and under-represented groups at the Barbican.
Requirements
  • In-depth understanding of new, emerging and contemporary music, and a wide range of arts and performance practice.
  • Significant experience working in an arts environment with experience of designing and delivering innovative arts projects to a high standard.
  • Understanding of how to develop new audiences and audience needs, particularly young people.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to plan and deliver multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and relate to all levels of professional practitioners in the arts sector.
