Artistic Programme Producer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Artistic Programme Producer to join our team at University of the Arts London. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing Fevered Sleep's artistic programme, including research and development, new projects, and revivals of existing work.

Key Responsibilities
  • To produce Fevered Sleep's artistic programme, including research and development, new projects, and revivals of existing work.
  • To instigate and effectively manage co-producing, commissioning, and presenting partnerships on all projects and negotiate partnerships that ensure the best outcome for the company.
  • To utilise Fevered Sleep's existing projects and actively promote their future life.
  • To build creative project teams and work with the Artistic Directors to find the best possible creative collaborators for each project.
  • To work with the General Manager to prepare and oversee all contractual agreements for all projects, including financial arrangements, crediting, marketing, audience development, and technical provisions.
  • To ensure that the creative programme is delivering on the aims, objectives, and outputs as outlined in our business plan and funding agreements.
  • To contribute to long-term organisational development.
  • To maintain a wide range of formal and informal contacts within performance and arts communities and beyond, in London, the UK, and internationally.
  • To represent Fevered Sleep at local, national, and international level when appropriate.
Financial Management
  • To oversee the financial management of the programme, in collaboration with the Executive Director.
  • To manage the day-to-day control of the programme budget, authorising expenditure on all artistic projects.
  • To pursue opportunities to earn income against new and existing projects and ensure that programme earned revenue targets are achieved.
  • To contribute to and sometimes lead on funding applications to support the programme, in collaboration with the freelance Fundraising Consultant, Co-Artistic Director/CEO, and Executive Director.
Managerial and Operational Responsibilities
  • To ensure the creative process and programme run smoothly.
  • To co-ordinate the overarching programme schedule and logistics, ensuring we meet deadlines on different projects, such as marketing, project staffing, and contracting.
  • To participate in and support the evaluation of Fevered Sleep's projects.
Marketing and Communications
  • To lead on the recruitment and management of project-specific external marketing and communications staff.
  • Extensive experience of establishing and managing co-producer and commissioning partnerships.
  • Extensive experience of managing programme and project budgets and timelines effectively.
  • Solid experience of producing touring projects, in the UK and ideally internationally.
  • Experience of producing and supporting co-created participatory projects.
  • An understanding of and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • A demonstrable track record in successfully steering complex projects from start to completion.
