Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the assembly, operation, maintenance, testing, and disconnection of subsea blowout preventers, marine risers, and related equipment. They will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing heave compensating equipment, subsea running and retrieving tools, and ensuring all planned maintenance is up to date and signed off in accordance with the maintenance schedule. Additionally, they will ensure all subsea equipment conforms to vessel's class and applicable API requirements, and that all modifications, breakdowns, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of subsea equipment has been entered into the Maximo system. The candidate will also be responsible for advising the Senior Subsea Engineer/Subsea Engineer of any impending downtime/equipment failure, and ensuring good housekeeping in the area of responsibility.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold an IWCF Well Control Certificate, industry-recognised engineering qualifications, and previous experience as an Assistant Subsea Engineer onboard a similar vessel. They will be expected to participate in operational meetings, consult with the Subsea Engineer regarding the operations forecast, complete a work log on a daily basis, and participate in Pre-Job Safety Meetings incorporating the relevant Risk Assessment for the specific task.
