Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Subsea & Pipelines Consultant Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading teams to deliver subsea engineering projects, designing subsea systems, and analyzing pipelines and cables in various load conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of subsea systems to applicable codes and standards.
  • Lead the analysis of subsea pipelines and cables in a variety of load conditions.
  • Work within our proposal and project teams to successfully deliver high-quality and value outcomes.
  • Evaluate, organize, and prioritize workloads, providing regular feedback to the team.
  • Manage the delivery of scopes for the production of client deliverables, including design calculations, analysis models, specifications, study reports, and presentations.
  • Mentor the development of other subsea engineers.
  • Actively participate in training to pursue continuing professional development.
  • Take a lead role in the continuous improvement of digital design tools.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years related industry experience.
  • A BEng/MEng Mechanical Engineering-related degree or equivalent.
  • Professional Chartered Status (or working towards attainment of this) preferred.
  • Comprehensive and demonstrable experience in subsea and pipeline design and related studies, including field development.
  • Demonstrable experience in subsea engineering design, including pipelines, risers, subsea systems, and cables for energy transmission.
  • Experience of delivering Integrity Management support and investigation of life extension services.
  • Coordination abilities for pipeline operational support.
  • Strong ability to technically integrate across related disciplines.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to mentor/coach less experienced engineers on technical and continued professional development.
  • Proven leadership skills characteristics and a strong attention to detail and delivery.
  • Proven experience in delivery of projects and a strong Project Management and controls skillset.
  • Offshore experience and certification advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in use of FEA tools such as OrcaFlex and/or Abaqus advantageous but not essential.
