Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Subsea Engineer to join our team at NES Fircroft. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading subsea P&A operations, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of subsea drilling, completion, and intervention activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead subsea P&A operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the subsea team to plan, develop, and execute subsea P&A campaigns.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of subsea engineers, subsea supervisors, and other team members.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise and competency in subsea operations.
  • Ensure the effective interface and communication process between the team, other teams, and external representatives.
  • Prepare and review subsea P&A procedures and practices.
  • Organize pre-job meetings and risk assessments as required.
  • Supervise specialist contractors' activities.
  • Manage maintenance of subsea spares, including documentation.
  • Ensure contractor selection is carried out in accordance with company requirements and safety and environmental assessments are part of the selection process.
  • Conduct QA/QC audits of contractors.
Requirements
  • Degree in a technical/engineering discipline or comparable practical subsea operations management experience.
  • Offshore Survival Training Certificate, UK Medical, and MIST.
  • Previous experience of a similar role within an operator.
  • Strong technical knowledge in the Wells Subsea area gained from extensive experience of Vertical and Horizontal Xmas Tree (XT) systems, associated tooling, and Completion/Workover (C/WO) riser systems.
  • Experience of supervising MODU and LWIV offshore subsea drilling, completion, intervention, and abandonment operations.
  • Experience of identifying, contracting/sourcing, maintaining, inspecting, preparing, interface checking, and accepting subsea equipment.
  • Experience of working on a range of different tree configurations from different suppliers.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technological developments, industry initiatives, etc.
  • Proven relationship-builder at all levels – internally and externally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience of working on subsea well abandonment campaigns.
